While looking for places to visit during my holiday trip, I just put in our country name and this is the first highlighted paragraph I found on the resulting page
“Travel Alert: The security situation in Pakistan is extremely uncertain, with sectarian and political violence regularly reported in Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar and Lahore. Avoid any travel to northern and western Balochistan, the North West Frontier Province (NWFP), the Federally-Administered Tribal Areas and Agencies (FATA) including Waziristan, and border areas other than official crossings. Check Safe Travel for government warnings and the BBC for news updates.”
And after reading this I’m curious, what place should I land when I reach back Pakistan?

All the way from Rawalpindi to Islamabad on highway and exits of Rawalpindi, banners are hanging out of every pole printed with following picture. Could not have an eye to focus the text on banners, but the thing looking like a poodle is clearly visible.

So I have decided to have an off from office tomorrow and most probably the vacation will be spent by watching these recommended movies
- Forest Gump
- The Spy Who Came In From The Cold
- Madagascar-Escape.2.Africa
- Behind.Enemy.Lines-Colombia
I hope (you pray
) I’ll be able to go through these all
I have been absent from blog for more than couple of days, reason? Whole of my weekend was spent in watching movies. I started with “Jason Bourne” trilogy along with another trio Resident Evil then Spy Game, Partner(Indian) and Mirrors. Out of these all Bourne Series was the one, I watched nth time. nth time? because i don’t remember how many times I have already watched this series. I don’t know why but I just love this series.
I read somewhere that “The Bourne Identity was voted the second best spy novel of all-time, behind John le Carré’s The Spy Who Came in from the Cold”, and then i searched for “The Spy Who Came in from the Cold” and got it on my PC. Ofcourse yes- this weekend’s top priority is The Spy Who came from the cold”, and to decide upto what extent Publishers Weekly’s rating is right
The thing which traps my interest in movie is the innocence of Bourne and his abilities to tackle the problems surrounding him all the way from start to end of the movie. One of my colleague had suggested me for Spy Game. I also watched that one as well, that’s also a nice spy movie but with slow tempo. If somebody hasn’t watched both the Bourne Trio and Spy Game, I would suggest to go for Spy Game first or there are higher chances that you wont like Spy Game too much.
The music of Bourne also took my attention, specially the nodes beaten at the end of each part. Before I leave PK this time, I have also scheduled my coming weekend with following movies, hope i would be able to complete my plans
- The Spy Who Came In From The Cold (Martin Ritt, 1965)
- Forest Gump
- Madagascar-Escape 2 Africa
- The Day The Earth Stood Still
- The Terminal
Now don’t suggest me to spend time for something constructive
With thanks to ASMA AHSAN here comes this blog’s first tag post. The last movie i saw and which caused my thinkings to awake, is Van Helsing.

I am amazed, how come these type of movies provide business to producers and what type of people are those who like these movies?
